Commercial Property Accounts Assistant
The Role:
Full-time Accounts Assistant required for a busy accounts department dealing with both commercial and residential property management. The accounts team is based in Weybridge, a hard-working team within a friendly, supportive environment.
The individual will be responsible for all aspects of accounts relating to our Basingstoke portfolio. Experience in commercial property management accounts is a necessity and knowledge of the RICS guidelines.
As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial management of service charge accounts within a fast-paced environment while upholding compliance with financial regulations as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
- Prepare and review service charge budgets
- Producing client statements and any additional reports required
- VAT reporting
- Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
- Liaise with external accountants on production of year end accounts where necessary
Qualification and required skills:
- AAT Stage 3 or similar qualification
- Solid understanding of service charge accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills
Desired knowledge and skills:
- Experience using Qube Property Management
- Knowledge of commercial rents, ASTs and mixed use properties
