Eight members of staff from Curchod & Co raised £710 for Cancer Research UK through sponsorship and participation in the Surrey Half Marathon and 5K 2024, an annual event held in Woking and organised in support of Crossroads Care Surrey.
The property consultancy’s team surpassed its initial fundraising goal of £500, thanks to the generous support of colleagues, clients, friends and family.
Joe Smith of Curchod & Co’s Woking office expressed the team’s gratitude: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. The generosity we received allowed us to go beyond our target, and we couldn’t be more pleased to support such an important charity.”
Tom Nurton, from Curchod & Co’s Basingstoke office managed to run a personal best time for the half marathon of 1 hour 49 minutes, but was a few seconds behind seasoned runner, Nick Reeve from the Farnham office, who was the team’s fastest finisher of the day.
Cancer Research UK continues to lead the fight against cancer through pioneering research and innovations, and donations like those raised by the Curchod & Co team help make a difference in this mission.
