Two new commercial buildings are nearing completion at Lyon Way on the Frimley Road providing much needed supply to the region, that local property agents believe will bring new employment opportunities to the area.
LondonMetric Properties Plc is due to complete the development of two industrial/distribution properties totaling 62,500 sq ft in May. The larger unit of 38,000 sq ft is already pre-let to BAe Systems while the second self-contained unit, known as Prime 24, which totals 24,327 sq ft is being built on a speculative basis.
David Bowen, of joint letting agent Curchod & Co in Camberley, said: “The take up in the Blackwater Valley for industrial and distribution property has been very strong in recent times resulting in an imbalance with limited supply of good quality accommodation. In addition to the technology, aerospace and communications occupiers that the area is known for at a global level, the rise of internet retailing has fueled demand for high specification facilities across all sizes.
“With a secure yard and planning permission for 24 hour access, seven days a week, we are expecting that Prime 24 will appeal to businesses from a range of sectors, bringing new employment opportunities to the area,” he added.
The new property also has first floor office accommodation a clear eaves height of 8 metres and two electrically operated loading doors.
Prime 24 will be available on a new lease. Further information is available from Curchod & Co or joint agent Savills.
